Czasami mężczyźnie trudno się z tą nową sytuacją pogodzić. Zanim się oceni świeżo upieczonego tatę jako nieczułego, niekochającego czy egoistycznego trzeba mu się lepiej przyjrzeć. Może się okazać, że jego stan się przedłuża, popada w co raz większą apatię, przestało go cieszyć życie i nie interesuje się ani dzieckiem ani swoja partnerką. Gdy zaobserwuje się taką sytuację u mężczyzny, najlepiej jak najszybciej go nakłonić, żeby udał się po fachową pomoc do lekarza. Oczywiście niezbędne jest też wsparcie rodziny.
